About.... Sunset Programming, Inc.

Welcome to the Sunset Programming, Inc. website. We are a small development company that works primarily with F. W. Davison & Co. and their HRPyramid accounting software for Professional Employer Organizations or PEOs. We have currently developed two additional modules that work with the HRPyramid payroll software system, Adapt CRM and Imaging Intergration.

Imaging Integration with HRPyramid

Employers have a lot of paperwork. And all that paperwork is needed. It needs to be easy to find, and it needs to be kept safe.

Adapt CRM for HRPyramid

The Adapt CRM for HRPyramid project started after we saw very expensive CRM projects undertaken by clients, yet never coming to fruition. The end result was money spent with little to show.

1Scan logon problem from a new machine

If you have a problem where one user can log on to 1Scan from a machine but another user is not prompted for a logon, you will need to run ToolScan to update the new user on the machine to create a local profile. Ensure that Batch Enable is checked in ToolScan.

Are you running HRPyramid 5.2.1 or 5.2.2?

If you are using HRPyramid's 5.2.1 or 5.2.2 release, and you do not see a CRM521 (or CRM522) in the patch list, your version is not up to date! Please drop us an email!! To know if you are OK, do /RELEASE on any menu, then check the PatchList -- if there is not a patch that starts with "CRM", please let us know!

And, starting with 5.2.3, Sunset Programming's CRM updates will be 'self-installed' - watch here for more details!

HRPyramid Release 5.2.1

A new feature of the CRM 5.2.0 was the ability to color code multiple watches with any color of your choosing.

We were just alerted that there was an issue with Release 5.2.1 where our project to include the color coding logic was replaced in error. This is corrected with the F.W.Davison project 3072. We apologize for the inconvenience!!

Remote Support

Remote support is now available from Sunset Programming, Inc. for the CRM and Imaging modules. We will be using the remote support to connect to your desktop when a incident cannot be resolved over the phone and the need to physically see the program in action. This will also allow us to remotely control your machine to make modifications as needed and transfer files if necessary. You will be able to see everything that is being done to your machine as we work on it to ensure we are not doing anything surreptitiously to your machine. ($.25 for big word usage!)

Blue Screen Bounces are Dead!

IBM emailed me today with the underlying cause of the dreaded Blue Screen Bounce (BSB) -- and it was such an easy item to correct, I've already fixed EVERY BSB I know about:

Task Maintenance
Phone Calls
Contact Maintenance

Somehow, the IBM screen generator tool put N,S,or A where it expected to find 0,1,2 (where 0=N, 1=S, and 2=A). They don't have a 'reason' for what built the problem, but at this point, getting it fixed is really all I cared about.

Just Posted... SPI/Adapt CRM for HRPyramid

Once you log in, you will see a link for the 5.2.0 update! We are ready to start scheduling update appointments for the move to 5.2.0. Since this release standardizes ALL clients to the new 'go forward' format (changing where we keep things between DATA and DEFN), many early users will have files in the wrong place. Since this will vary per site, this release will require assistance for installation.

Coming up this week... SPI/Adapt CRM for HRPyramid 5.2.0

We are putting the final changes and testing the code now. I had hoped I'd be finished over the weekend, but like all good plans... I went and saw "Baby Mama" instead. Sorry. It was either that or find all new friends and family. The things I do to keep people happy....

ANYWAY... the biggest change in the 5.2.0 version is the introduction of a 'Scheduling Module' that we licensed from Precision Solutions that we 'bundle in' to the CRM for your special requirements. Right off the bat, we are writing some 5.2.1 code to handle (drum roll) Automatic Monthly Emails for "Eligible but Not Enrolled" employees in your benefit plans. If you have other routine, scheduled notification based on data HRP can 'know', let me know your thoughts and ideas so we can see about adding it, or helping you add it!
