Remote Support

Remote support is now available from Sunset Programming, Inc. for the CRM and Imaging modules. We will be using the remote support to connect to your desktop when a incident cannot be resolved over the phone and the need to physically see the program in action. This will also allow us to remotely control your machine to make modifications as needed and transfer files if necessary. You will be able to see everything that is being done to your machine as we work on it to ensure we are not doing anything surreptitiously to your machine. ($.25 for big word usage!)

About... Imaging Integration with HRPyramid

Employers have a lot of paperwork. And all that paperwork is needed. It needs to be easy to find, and it needs to be kept safe.

About... Adapt CRM for HRPyramid

The Adapt CRM for HRPyramid project started after we saw very expensive CRM projects undertaken by clients, yet never coming to fruition. The end result was money spent with little to show.

Blue Screen Bounces are Dead!

IBM emailed me today with the underlying cause of the dreaded Blue Screen Bounce (BSB) -- and it was such an easy item to correct, I've already fixed EVERY BSB I know about:

Task Maintenance
Phone Calls
Contact Maintenance

Somehow, the IBM screen generator tool put N,S,or A where it expected to find 0,1,2 (where 0=N, 1=S, and 2=A). They don't have a 'reason' for what built the problem, but at this point, getting it fixed is really all I cared about.

Just Posted... SPI/Adapt CRM for HRPyramid

Once you log in, you will see a link for the 5.2.0 update! We are ready to start scheduling update appointments for the move to 5.2.0. Since this release standardizes ALL clients to the new 'go forward' format (changing where we keep things between DATA and DEFN), many early users will have files in the wrong place. Since this will vary per site, this release will require assistance for installation.

Coming up this week... SPI/Adapt CRM for HRPyramid 5.2.0

We are putting the final changes and testing the code now. I had hoped I'd be finished over the weekend, but like all good plans... I went and saw "Baby Mama" instead. Sorry. It was either that or find all new friends and family. The things I do to keep people happy....

ANYWAY... the biggest change in the 5.2.0 version is the introduction of a 'Scheduling Module' that we licensed from Precision Solutions that we 'bundle in' to the CRM for your special requirements. Right off the bat, we are writing some 5.2.1 code to handle (drum roll) Automatic Monthly Emails for "Eligible but Not Enrolled" employees in your benefit plans. If you have other routine, scheduled notification based on data HRP can 'know', let me know your thoughts and ideas so we can see about adding it, or helping you add it!

Error 130 in from imaging

If you get an Error 130 - Database Error, there are a couple of simple things to check that are likely quick to fix. There are two likely issues that will cause this: (1) Not enough database seats on HRPyramid are available to check or lookup the request or (2) a Key being requested is not part of the Image Type Code.

We'll run through both and how you can tell if either is the case:

F.W.Davison User Conference

With just a few days until the User Conference, I wanted to give a couple of hints what you will see and hear about, but decided not to steal the thunder of each presenter. Sunset Programming works closely with F.W.Davison to create some of the 'magic' -- we hope you will be as excited about the changes coming down the pike as we think you will be! See you next week!

Now Available! CRM Training via Web

We've added a new piece to help the CRM users. It's a web-based training option available for New clients, as well as existing CRM users.

Designed as an annual subscription, it will allow you to have access to 'factory training' every day for your new users once you are up and running. For a new site, it's quite a bit less expensive than on-site training - you can have me nag you via a web-broadcast for way less than half what it would cost for me to nag you in person! Factor in the travel costs, and it can be up to 75% less than the cost for an On Site visit.

Welcome to the Feature Request Forum

I'm going to put a slot out here so people can toss their requests here - If one is really custom, I'll let you know - but otherwise, it's a way to know if lot's of people have the same ideas, issues or needs.
